A traditional method of cleansing and healing the body, the castor oil pack contains: 100ml of organic, cold pressed and hexane free castor oil in amber glass bottle, organic bamboo + cotton* flannel and a PU fabric waterproof to protect your clothes and bedding from stains and drips.
*Wool will no longer be sold due to the following reasons:
~Organic unbleached bamboo + cotton flannel is equally absorbent, plus soft and warm as wool
~The expense of wool is 3 x that of organic bamboo + cotton
~Bamboo + cotton is vegan and kinder to animals, so everyone can use it, plus bamboo uses far less water than wool or cotton alone. Sheep in Australia routinely have their tails docked without pain relief , are usually left without shade in the hot Australian summer, and are often muelsed which involves the sensitive flesh around their buttocks being cut without pain relief to prevent fly-strike (which is illegal in New Zealand but common practice here!).

Most instructions given for castor oil packs, include the use of plastic or cling film to cover the flannel and protect clothing. Here at Mizan we understand that plastics are xeno-oestrogens that actually promote the hormonal disturbances that we are using the castor oil to prevent. We now promote the use of PU fabric to protect against staining as it does not disrupt normal hormonal function, is reusable and does not impact the environment in the same way as plastics.
